Tributes have poured in from the Irish showband community and beyond for Judy Rock, who passed away yesterday.
Judy, wife of showband legend Dickie Rock, was being treated in St Vincent’s Hospital for a number of weeks after the couple had contracted Covid-19.
Speaking at the time, Dickie, 85, said that he was unwell and was suffering from flu-like symptoms, but recovered safely at home.

However, Judy, 75, required hospital treatment and was eventually taken into the intensive care unit, RSVP reported.
Speaking to the Irish Sun then, Dickie said: "Judy was taken away in an ambulance.
"It's very dangerous getting something like this at her age, and she wasn't eating. She got really bad, they rushed her in."
A person close to the family said that the singer was “devastated by the loss” of his wife, whom he married in 1966. The pair had five children.
In 2020, Dickie spoke about how difficult it was to not be able to see his beloved wife, who underwent a knee replacement in the Beacon Hospital.
He was worried about her going under anaesthetic and found it difficult to stay in their Donnybrook home without Judy by his side.
Dickie announced that he would be stepping away from the live music in 2019, partially due to hearing issues.
