The Boston Celtics looked like a team that had put their foibles of the recent past to bed for good this season over the course of their last three games. However, against a Washington Wizards roster missing several of its best players, the visiting Celtics reverted to their bad habits of playing down to their competition yet again. As a result, they dropped a must-win game in epic fashion.
After the blowout loss, the players who spoke after the game and head coach Joe Mazzulla did not seem especially concerned about the low-effort showing against the Wizards, leaving fans and analysts alike wondering if accountability and winning habits matter to this team.
Should we be worried about the Boston Celtics after their loss to the Washington Wizards?
Bobby Manning of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast brought up this line of thinking in a recent clip put out after the defeat at the hands of the Wiz.
