Veteran tackle Chris Hubbard was a big part of the team’s success in 2020 during their playoff run. He showed great versatility for the Cleveland Browns playing at right guard, right tackle, and left tackle all in the same season at a high level. However, since then Hubbards seasons were marred by major injuries and inconsistent play.
This season he only played in 39 total snaps and received a PFF pass-blocking grade of 22.7. Time and injuries seem to have gotten the best of Hubbard who seems to be on the decline. As productive as Hubbard once was the team needs to move on and have more reliable depth on the line.
