At Christmas I give friends and family a calendar of my photos. I am no professional and always edit the images. Should I apologise to the recipients for my manipulative behaviour (Princess of Wales says she edited family photo recalled by picture agencies, 11 March)?

• Many problems might be avoided if firms were forced to register accurate descriptive names. Thus, a grossly overcharging vet combine would be Screw the Pet Owner plc. Private equity firms would simply be Crooks. But the real impact would be on political parties: “Conservative” – what a joke!

• Your article on nocturia focused on the global north (Keep waking in the middle of the night to pee? Here’s why – and what to do about it, 11 March). I was uneasy about the advice not to drink more than 330ml of fluid within three hours of sleeping. In this era of climate change and extreme heat, everyone should be advised to drink plenty of fluids, even at night, or risk dehydration.

• “Frozen is now a stage musical, it will have a book, and thus can be said to meet the [World Book Day] criteria,” (12 March). Actually, Frozen is loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen. A sad story, icily overwhelmed by the movie.
