Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Toti Gomes has taken aim at the referee and his officials for denying him a match-winning goal at Anfield on Saturday evening.
In another lacklustre performance, the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by the West Midlands outfit and will now be forced to lock horns with Julen Lopetegui's side at Molineux in a third round replay later this month.
But things could have been far worse for Jurgen Klopp's side in their first defence of the FA Cup trophy in 16 years, as hindsight showed they were fortuitous to see Gomes' 82nd-minute goal ruled out for offside.

After Matheus Nunes' inswinging corner was played back out to the midfielder by one of his team-mates, he drilled the ball back into Alisson Becker's six-yard box, where Gomes was lurking to bundle the ball over the line.
However, it was only after celebrating with his team-mates in the corner that the 23-year-old was made aware of the linesman's flag, which had been raised.
Once the on-field referee Andy Madley confirmed the decision with the Video Assistant Referee at Stockley Park, Liverpool were awarded a free-kick for the offside infringement. It was later publicised that officials were unable to unanimously decide if the goal was in fact offside due to a lack of officiating cameras around the perimeter of the Anfield pitch - with amateur footage showing the Portugal midfielder in both on and offside positions.
But speaking of his experience, Gomes admitted he is struggling to come to terms with his effort being chalked off and subsequently denying the club another famous cup scalp over the Reds.
"At the end I tried to speak with them and they said it was offside by a little bit, but I don't understand how,” Gomes told BirminghamLive. "At the end I saw the replay and still don't understand how it wasn't a goal.
"They should have done better. In this type of moment, they help the big teams a little bit and for us that's not good. Sometimes these mistakes help the big teams. It's frustrating because we fight for a good result and these small things make a difference in the end.
"I'm still proud of the team because we gave everything until the end, it was a good game."
The winner of the two sides' next encounter will face Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round.
