Should Covid measures be brought back?

The UK has seen a slow and steady increase in daily Covid cases since the start of June, with restriction measures all but dropped by the government earlier this year.

While measures like masks and testing are suggested, they are not a legal requirement with isolation when testing positive no longer legally required either.

But after an increase in cases over the past month, we want to know if you think that Covid measures should be brought back.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Earlier this week, a school in Tameside was forced to tell two full year groups to stay at home amid a surge in Covid cases.

Greater Manchester has also seen Covid hospitalisations quadruple over the past month, with the figure going up from 131 at the start of June to 561 at the start of July.

Some have called for action in response to the rise, with one person commenting: "Please make the tests free again and then we can keep testing every week before the start of the working week."

However, others shared different viewpoints with another reader responding: "It will never go away we just have to live with it."
