Shotts boss John McKeown says it was a point earned at on-form Kilbirnie Ladeside on Saturday, but hopes his side are back on track.
McKeown was pleased with the performance after Shotts had gone through a sticky spell, and hopes it’s coming at a good time, with a West of Scotland Cup third round clash at home to Gartcairn looming this weekend.
And he strengthened with the loan signing of winger Kamil Krol and striker Alex Cassells from Pollok until the end of this season.
McKeown said: “Before the game I’d have taken the point and bit your hand off, going down there.
“The game could have gone either way, so a draw was probably the right result.
“I was more pleased with the performance than anything else, after the disappointment of last week.
“I hope we’re back on track, and it can kick-start the season again.”
On the cup clash, McKeown said: “Our cup form has been excellent, we have probably exceeded all expectations. This is our last cup competition and we want to stay in it for as long as we can.
“We’re expecting another tough contest.”
McKeown was delighted with his signings and said: “Kamil is a jet-paced winger who can play on either wing or in the hole.
“Alex is a striker who needs a wee bit of match-fitness, so they’ve loaned both of them to us for the rest of this season.”
