Two men have been charged with multiple offences after an armed stand-off in Toowoomba during which shots were fired.
Police were at the Park Street property in Newtown just before 11am on Wednesday in relation to a search warrant.
Two men inside were allegedly found to be in possession of firearms.
Five people were safely removed from the property, but two men remained inside.
An emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act was declared just before midday with Special Emergency Response Team officers called in.
Nearby homes were evacuated, with many residents waiting in a nearby park or on the streets until the area was deemed safe.
It is alleged that during the negotiations shots were fired both from the premises and by police.
No one was physically injured and the men were taken into custody just before 6pm.
