Shots were fired as children were "playing out" in the street.
Merseyside Police rushed to Kyance Road in Croxteth at 6.37pm on Wednesday, July 27, following reports of shots being fired. Once around a dozen police vehicles, including patrol cars, matrix and armed police, arrived at the scene the road was sealed off.
North West Ambulance Service were also in attendance, but Merseyside Police confirmed to The ECHO nobody was believed to be injured in the incident. Police forensics arrived a short time later and began investigating.

An eyewitness to the incident said children were "playing out" in the street when the incident happened. They told The ECHO : "Lads on motorbikes fired them (the shots) and all kids were out playing."
Officers were seen making door-to-door enquiries on the road. A cordon will remain in place on the road over night and into Thursday.
