On Monday, shots were fired at a Democratic Party campaign office in Tempe, Arizona. Fortunately, no individuals were harmed during the incident, but the building sustained damage as a result of the shooting.
Authorities were alerted to the situation and promptly responded to the campaign office located near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive in Tempe. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials observed the damage caused by the gunshots.
The incident is currently being treated as a property crime since there were no occupants inside the building at the time of the shooting. Both the Mesa Forensic Unit and the Tempe Police Department have initiated an investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to Sean McEnerney, the DNC Arizona coordinated campaign manager, multiple shots were fired into the Tempe Democratic Party coordinated campaign office overnight. He expressed gratitude towards the Tempe Police for their swift response to the scene and emphasized the fortunate outcome of no injuries or individuals present during the shooting.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and contact the Tempe Police Department to assist in the ongoing investigation.
