A raft of new pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes have made it into the final of the 2019 Nottinghamshire Food and Drink Awards.
Judges from the world of food and drink sifted through public nominations praising nearly 200 different venues in the city centre, the suburbs and rural destinations before narrowing it down to a shortlist of three finalists in each category of the prestigious competition.
Newcomers such as The Radcliffe, a pub in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Trent Bridge's new fine dining restaurant and bar Six, hidden city centre Japanese grill shop Kushi-ya, Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen in Sherwood, and Greek cafe Christine's Delights in Beeston are in the running for an accolade at this year's ceremony.
But there are plenty of old favourites including perennial award-winner Bar Iberico in Hockley, Tom Browns Brasserie in Gunthorpe, and Delilah Fine Foods in the city centre.
Each venue will be visited by mystery diners and the winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Belfry Hotel in Nottingham, hosted by comedian Matt Forde on Wednesday, October 16.
