Shoppers urged to reuse toilet roll as prices soar

Shoppers are being advised to buy reusable toilet paper as prices continue to rise in Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Aldi, Lidl and other supermarkets.

Now, more than ever, millions of us are struggling to afford even the basic essentials. As the cost of living worsens, a "solution" has been presented - and it's going viral on social media.

Consumers are being urged to buy reusable toilet roll which you can wash again and again, the MEN reports.

According to experts, washable and reusable toilet paper provides a cost-effective and eco-friendly way to clean yourself, without creating waste or spending a mini fortune over time. But, probably unsurprisingly, the idea has repulsed some shoppers.

Posting on Facebook, Donna Yates said: "Not for me, don't care how much money I'd save", while Angie Pitt said: "No way!!!! I’m trying to cut down on the amount of times I wash a week not increase it!"

James Ridley said: "I'd rather use a dock leaf than that, what a minging idea" [sic], while Atlanta Ally said: "Or just use water like the rest of the world. Toilet roll is so unhygienic and you are never properly cleaned."
