Cadbury has revealed a new type of chocolate bar set to debut later this year, and shoppers have called it "ridiculous".
The chocolate giant has unveiled its new Dairy Milk Advent Bar. As the name suggests, the chocolate bar consists of 25 individual numbered chunks.
As with a traditional advent calendar, the idea is to eat one chunk per day throughout the month of December in the build-up to Christmas. While Cadbury's chocolate advent calendars are a holiday staple for many, the new product has been met with a mixed reception.

Sharing news of the upcoming product, Facebook food page Newfoodsuk wrote: "New Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Bar! Now this will be such a challenge to eat only one chunk a day in December!
"In fact, I don’t think it will last until September to be honest! We got this online at Cadbury Gifts Direct, guessing it will be in supermarkets soon."
Before long, the post had received hundreds of likes and comments. Shoppers and Cadbury fans alike were keen to share their thoughts on the festive chocolate bar.
One wrote: "Ridiculous... can I just buy 25 bars? Asking for a friend."
A second echoed: "I would have to buy 25 and eat one a day. No chance would I make one bar last that long."
A third frustrated shopper shared: "What’s the f****n point of this? Who the f**k keeps a bar of chocolate for 25 days?"
"This is the most depressing thing I’ve seen all year," another commented.
"This looks cool but there’s just something satisfying about ripping open a window on an advent calendar every morning and taking a chocolate out," a fifth posted.
A sixth joked: "There’s not a chance that would survive until Christmas in our house!"
