An influencer-loved dress from supermarket clothing line Tu at Sainsbury’s has gone viral in recent weeks. But shoppers are devastated that the pink puffy number is now sold out.
The £22 summer poplin dress comes in a bold pink shade with puff sleeves, tiered skirt and a v-neck, made with pure cotton and perfect for summer.
But soon after appearing absolutely everywhere online, customers were left fighting to get their hands on the five-star piece , which has since sold out.

On May 18, Tu Clothing shared a carousel of four influencers styling the summer piece, writing: “It's the dress you need this summer! How gorgeous do @carolinesstylehacks, @carolem_beauty, @stripeycoral and @fash ionabell_ look in the Pink Puff Sleeve Poplin Midi Dress? And it's just £22.”
Commenting on the picture, spanishaprilx said: "Such a fab dress - love it on these ladies." Justleftmyforties_ added: "Beautiful dress! I love it on the fabulous ladies."
Carolem_beauty, featured in one of the photos, commented: "Absolutely love this dress and all the fabulous ladies. Look gorgeous in it."
And as expected, the dress is now out of stock online - however, we’ve dug out some similar styles so that you can still get the look that’s set to be one of the biggest summer trends of 2022.
Most similar was the Cotton Poplin V Neck Puff Sleeve Midi Dress from Warehouse , which comes in at three times the price at £62.30, down from £89. But this piece has also proved popular, with only a size 10 left in stock, or 18 and 20 in the plus size version.
In the same kind of price range is the Albaray Organic Cotton Pink Square Neck Dress, which as described, features a square neckline instead, costing £89. The midi dress is crafted in crisp organic cotton with an elasticated front and back and soft puff sleeves. The a-line skirt sees that feature we all know and love - POCKETS - and it’s in that same bubblegum hue as the Sainsbury’s dress, available in sizes 8, 10, 12 and 18.
From here on out, the choices are a little cheaper, but the dresses are just as stunning and summer-ready. Nasty Gal have got a Checked Tiered Smock Midi Dress in the sale for £36 in sizes 10-14, offering a looser fit with a round neck, but maintaining that tiered hem and puff sleeves with a cute bow detail.
Meanwhile, ASOS are stocking a Stradivarius shirred poplin midi dress with puff sleeves in pink for £29, down from £35.99, saving shoppers 19 per cent. It’s available in sizes XS to XL, which is around 6 to 14, with New Look’s Mid Pink Linen-Look Puff Sleeve Midi Dress offering sizes 6 to 18 for £20.99.
So fear not if you can’t get you hands on that Tu pink dress because we predict you’ll be seeing pink puff sleeve dresses launch absolutely everywhere this summer.
