Sainsbury's shoppers are going wild for a £4 beauty balm being sold at the supermarket. In a viral video, one beauty buff was so impressed by the balm, she said it rivals £46 premium brand Elemis.
Cleansing balms are a popular skincare product thanks to their nourishing and moisturising properties. But some of the premium brands will set you back upwards of £50.
Tik Tok user Debbie Millyard has found a budget alternative. And you can pick it up while buying bread and milk.

Debbie says Sainsbury’s “have out done themselves” with this £4 make-up cleanser. In her video, which has gone viral with over 657k views, she says people “need to stop spending £50-£60” on the Elemis product as Sainsbury’s Source of Nature Nourishing Cleansing Balm gets the job done.
The ingredients in the products are quite similar. The dupe contains Eucalyptus oil, shea butter and lavender oil, while the Elemis formula also includes those three ingredients, along with other oils such as chamomile.
The TikToker says the product smells “divine” as it melts the make-up off her face. She adds that the cleanser also has a “slight bit of texture” which acts as a gentle exfoliant.
After wiping the cleanser off with cotton pads, Debbie says her skin is left feeling hydrated and make-up free. One viewer responded saying: "This is such a nice video as ppl are struggling to live and they jus wana treat themselves to a dupe and why not as this is very affordable.”
Another agreed with Debbie saying: “I have it to it’s amazing I also got an avocado one from another store for same price it’s the best.” While the product did not receive great reviews on the Sainsbury’s website with some saying they found it a bit too rough, Debbie says: “I just go by my own experiences not what others say! Everyone’s different.”
For £4, it’s worth a try. The balm is currently out of stock on the Sainsbury's website, but can be found in stores, depending on stock levels.
