Shoppers rush to Home Bargains for 'amazing' £5 item that saves £75

Shoppers have been scouting the shelves of their local Home Bargains in a desperate bid to get their hands on a £5 product that will save them £75. Customer Ellie Jordan King shared the ‘huge deal’ with a community of bargain hunters on Facebook - and now everyone wants to find it.

Ellie found two beauty products worth nearly £80 each selling in the discount retailer for just £4.99 each - saving £75 on the RRP. She posted her find in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, and other shoppers agreed that it’s ‘amazing’.

The savvy money-saver discovered the Eclat Skin moisturiser and serum on the shelves, before heading online to check their original prices, discovering it’s a luxury brand sold in the likes of Sephora and Debenhams.

Ellie said: “Huge deal at Home Bargains on this skin care!” alongside photos of the products that she had purchased, which included the Eclat Skin Vitamin C + Shea Butter night moisturiser and an EGF serum.

Other shoppers have also snagged the deal, with one responding: “I've been using this for about three days and I really love it! I love the smell of the cream too.” Another added: £The serum is amazinnnnnnng!! Not greasy like some can be. It soaks right in.”

Others are yet to find the bargain in their local store, with some even checking multiple stores to find it. One commented: “Need to look out for this!” while a second said: “I’ve been looking for this at a few stores now.”

The Eclat Skin Vitamin C + Shea Butter night moisturiser is still available to purchase at Sephora for £79, meaning Home Bargains shoppers are getting a fantastic deal.

The ‘super silky formula’ aims to hydrate, nourish and rejuvenate the skin while you sleep. It also contains hydration boosting hyaluronic acid which aims to brighten uneven skin tone and re-plump tired, dehydrated looking skin.

Beauty buffs who paid full price for the cream have rated it four and five stars online, with one customer commenting: “Lovely smooth cream that goes on like a dream. My skin looks and feels so soft. Love it and would recommend it.”

Another said: “An actual glass jar which gives this a luxury feel. Thick lightly scented, non greasy cream that sinks into the skin well. After a week of use my skin looks well hydrated and soft.”

Meanwhile the Eclat Skin EGF Cell Effect Serum has been reduced from £79 to £14.99 on Debenhams for a 60ml bottle - though Home Bargains is still offering it cheaper.

The serum is said to ‘smoothen the look of fine lines and wrinkles and skin texture’, with one customer writing: “I've only used this product a few times so far but can definitely see the results already. At 28 I'm trying to get ahead of fine lines around my mouth and forehead and I'm loving thi product so far.”

Both products are currently being sold for £4.99 each at Home Bargains. You can find your local store here.
