Searching for ways to save on your heating bills? Well you’re in luck as we’ve spotted this Halogen heater which costs ‘pennies’ to run - and it comes as no surprise that shoppers are going wild for it.
With the ongoing cost of living crisis, the £40 heater from Argos has proven to be extremely popular amongst savvy shoppers looking for ways to stay warm on a budget without popping the heating on.
On Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert website, the team claim that halogen heaters are a great, cost-effective way to help heat your home for less as the temperature drops.
Although Martin Lewis and his team haven't recommended any specific branded heater to buy, we’ve spotted this £40 halogen heater from Argos which has racked up over 1,000 five-star reviews with shoppers calling it "great value for money" and "excellent for saving money on heating."
One delighted shopper added to the comment section on the Argos website, and said: “I bought this after seeing Martin Lewis - and haven't had my heating on since. It's very light and portable and heats a room quickly. Would highly recommend it.”
While a second customer wrote: “I am always cautious when buying an electric heater, however, I heard that this was very economical (12p) per hour. I have a large living room that is really cold and wfh. This is amazing and gives off great heat and light. Perfect to warm your rooms without having heating on.”
The heater is extremely versatile too, as one shopper even uses the heater to dry clothes. She said: “Bought this to help dry the clothes during Winter. I use a dehumidifier then stick this heater on for an hour as that's all it takes. I have used it to warm the bathroom for half an hour so I don't have to turn the heating on.”
This 1200W Halogen Heater is said to cost around 65p per hour to run, and features three heat settings depending on how warm you want the room to be.
It also boasts a carry handle at the back, so you can easily transport the heater from room to room safely and a safety cut out switch to ensure it doesn't overheat.
