Shoppers rave over 'brilliant' Amazon thermos flask that has them ditching the kettle

As the cost of living crisis continues, people feeling the pinch are looking for ways to reduce their utility bills and cut back their reliance on household appliances such as the kettle.

While it may not be the most expensive item in your home to run, the kettle can add a significant amount to your bill, especially if you are an avid tea drinker.

However, money-conscious Amazon shoppers may have the answer when it comes to cutting back on your kettle usage.

They found a "brilliant" thermos vacuum flask, costing €25, to replace their kettle that has helped to save them a few bob.

Some have even said the flask is "worth every penny" and "pays for itself", as it has keeps the water warm for 8 hours a day - meaning they can grab their favourite brew without the added electricity costs, reports the Daily Record.

According to Uswitch, it currently costs around 8c to boil the kettle for five minutes at a time, which is set to increase from October to 9c, which is precisely why shoppers are saying "every little helps."

The post has since gained a whopping 2.1k likes and nearly 1k comments from impressed shoppers who are all raving over the vacuum flask for being "worth every penny."

"We got the same one and I boil the kettle twice to fill it up and the don't use it again. Worth everything penny. It's already paid for itself", raved one shopper.

"I have one and been doing it for a few weeks .. hubby is a tea belly and was constantly boiling the kettle now we boil once in morning and once in afternoon …", replied a third.
