Aldi's new anti-ageing cream is racking up hundreds of five-star reviews as customers heap praise on the £6.99 product. The supermarket giant has unveiled its Lacura Caviar Illumination Day Cream, which promises line smoothing and wrinkle-eliminating properties.
Many shoppers are claiming that the product beats its more expensive rivals, with a similar cream at Selfridges costing £799.99 per pot. The product is available to buy online and it is proving so popular that many customers are reporting that it is regularly out of stock in supermarkets, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Aldi's description reads: "The Caviar Illumination Day Cream is the perfect way to start your day. Light in texture and full of luxurious ingredients, this product will keep on working throughout the day long after you have applied it. With added SPF, it is a must for any skin-conscious beauty lover."

One five-star reviewer wrote: "Absolutely amazing cream. I've gone from using No.7 illumination cream to this and I absolutely love it, goes on a treat, not too heavy, gives a fab natural glow and when we had the sunny weather I used this as sunscreen, just gone to buy more and it’s sold out and I only have a very limited section of creams and that in my local store…. I hope it comes back in soon! I’ll never go back to no.7 this is so much better and less than a 1/3 of the price."
Another said: "Just finished my first jar and can honestly say that it is as good as if not better than all the other brands I have used, including expensive ones. It is creamy and rich without being heavy and does exactly what it says it will do on the jar, which is a rare thing in this day and age. Will definitely stay with this brand."
A third person raved: "Best cream ever! Magic in a pot, smooths lines and perfects face." Yet another happy shopper said: "I have used this cream for a couple of years great product, only downfall can't buy it in-store for the last year, so buy it online, must say delivery is excellent always on time pleased with the service."
