With the ongoing cost of living crisis continuing to hit families hard, many people are looking for ways to stay warm while keeping their energy bills as low as possible. One product in particular is now causing a bit of a stir online, with one savvy shopper hailing it as her 'purchase of the year'.
Mum and luxury travel agent, Daxi, shared footage of her snuggling up in her brand new hooded blanket from Sainsbury's, which looked to be absolutely perfect for evenings hibernating in front of the telly. Made from a cuddly borg material, the cream hoodie has a five-star rating on the Sainsbury's website and costs £22, a fair bit less than an official Oodie wearable blanket.
Taking to TikTok, where she goes by the username @daximumlife29, Daxi, 42, enthusiastically praised her bargain hoodie, declaring: "A trip to Sainsbury's has just saved me a fortune… purchase of the year."
Daxi, who spotted the hoodie during a recent shopping trip, hailed it as the 'solution to all of our heating bills', before joking: "I'm officially going to be single forever but I don't care!"
Addressing her followers in the video, Daxi went on to exclaim: "How good is this? I can literally live in this from now until March. It's going in the basket!"
Daxi confessed she'd even held her 'purchase of the year' against her like a duvet throughout the rest of her shop, keeping her nice and toasty when wandering around the frozen aisles.
Many of Daxi's fans are now keen to follow suit, with one person commenting: "Yes I need one, evenings snuggled, no heating no gas fire. Lovely, no need for a man ever again!"
Another wrote: "Can’t beat Sainsbury's quality too. Soooo snug! Enjoy."
As per Sainsbury's website, this 'ultimate winter warmer' is machine washable, and is 'perfect for hunkering down on the couch and devouring a boxset'.
The description reads: "Made from a fabulously fluffy borg material, it's got long sleeves and a hood to lock in warmth and keep you toasty on days when you don't want to turn on the heating.
