Shoppers left 'disgusted' at Hellman's new mayo product on supermarket shelves

A brand new condiment has landed on supermarket shelves across the country, and it has some fans feeling rather 'queasy.'

Hellman's have released a new gravy flavoured mayonnaise, which is 'restaurant-inspired' and keen shoppers posted a picture on the new product onto a popular Facebook page.

The Facebook user who spotted the product wrote: "Home bargains!" alongside a shocked face emoji. With over 200 reactions to the page, and nearly 400 comments, the majority of comments were responding negatively to the new item.

One Facebook user wrote: "I mean if you want mayo have mayo, if you want gravy, have gravy. Mix the two together….why?!!"

Another said: "Don't think so. Mayonnaise is Mayonnaise. Gravy is Gravy..."

And a third wrote: "I love mayonnaise but grave i don't think so revolting!"

More comments read: "It's disgusting I had some and threw it in bin."

Another Facebook user added: "mm don’t know how I feel about this one."

More said: "yuk sounds disgusting."

And finally, one concluded: "There are some sauces that do not belong together, separately they are good, together I don't think this works."

However, not all were in agreement at the 'revolting' nature of the new product. One Facebook user said: "I got to admit I do love this especially on a chicken sandwich."

Another wrote: "It’s delicious!"

And a third said: "Its really nice I've got it in my fridge and it goes really nicely with chips."

More comments read: "It's unreal."

And one finally said: "I love gravynaise!"

So, is gravynaise a winner or a sinner in the new product fandom? Opinions are split among fans.
