Asda has jokingly shared "sensitive content" of its new caterpillar cake on social media, leaving fans in hysterics.
The famed supermarket giant is known and loved for its vast range of products, stocking its shelves with a variety of food for all manner of budgets, as well as cleaning supplies, household essentials and more. The retailer also boasts its own in-house clothing and homeware brand, George at Asda.
Like many companies, Asda maintains a connection with shoppers via social media, often utilising Instagram to share all the recent product launches and stock drops. On its official Instagram page, the supermarket has amassed 563K followers.

The retailer caused a flurry of responses after posting an image of its new caterpillar cake. The photo is blurred, with the hit social media platform's "sensitive content" warning imposed over the top, alongside the words: "This cake reinvention may be too exciting for some viewers".
Caterpillar cakes have been the subject of much controversy in recent months, with the Colin vs Cuthbert legal battle between Marks and Spencer and Aldi making headlines. Possibly in reference to the notoriety, Asda quipped: "WARNING A tasty reveal awaits... NAME THAT CATERPILLAR Head to IG Stories to get a 'slice' of the action…"
The photo racked up almost 1,000 likes and shoppers took to the comments section to share their naming ideas for the new treat. One joked: "Collin".
Ellie said: "Colling". Haylee joked: "Asda are supposed to be a responsible, family supermarket, not posting sensitive content! So wrong!!"
Phoebe added: "Hope your legal team has approved it [laughing emoji] M&S will be watching". Other shoppers simply posted their name suggestion for the caterpillar cake. You can find your nearest Asda store here.
