Shoppers have been left feeling disturbed after a retailer shared a controversial advert for their Valentine’s Day sausages which some have branded as ‘messed up’ and ‘absolutely horrendous’.
Online healthy food retailer MuscleFood.com unveiled its budget-friendly Love Sausage in an unusual post on Instagram, which saw three people squeezing the cheese-filled sausage over a bathtub.
Posted this morning to their 365,000 followers, the video has already amassed thousands of views - but it’s left some people feeling a bit sick.

In the clip, there are three different hands clasped around the two-foot long, 400g pork sausage, which has the smoked cheddar insides spilling out, making quite the mess.
While some simply shared a wave of throwing up emojis, one commenter wrote: “who is running this page?” while another added: “Who thought this was a good idea? Someone messed up.”
“It’s a no from me,” said a third, while others said: “That’s just gross” and ‘This is absolutely horrendous, by the way.”
Some people have managed to look past the discomfort to find the funny side, though, with one adding: “Not what I expected to see from your page. Comments are mildly entertaining though, made my morning.”
Another said: “What in the newborn umbilical cord is this?”
The two foot meaty feast was launched as part of the brand's Valentine’s day range, for couples looking to enjoy a romantic meal for two at home.
The pork Love Sausage sharer comes in at a pocket-friendly £3.49, and is seasoned with ‘delicious flavours’ and filled with cheese.
