Shoppers have expressed their delight over Aldi's £10.99 gin liqueur that are perfect for Mother's Day. Mother's Day falls on Sunday 27 March this year which leaves only a few days for shoppers to find the perfect present.
The supermarket has released new flavours of gin as part of their own brand Infusionist range. The range features flavours such as Raspberry and Rose, strawberry and Vanilla and salted maple fudge gin Liqueurs.
Aldi have also reduced some of their cake-inspired flavours such as Raspberry Jam doughnut and lemon drizzle cake flavour with prices starting at £4.99.
The family-run Illusionist brand has been in partnership with Aldi since 2015. The partnership has allowed the family-run business to meet demand for their tasty gin concoctions including their best-selling salted caramel vodka Liqueur.
Shoppers reacted online in delight to the flavours, and the affordable price tag. Although several commented on the link that gin used to be referred to as 'mother's ruin.
One mum commented: "This looks lovely I’ll be sending my girls hints or pics of it."
One gin fan posted that she would be switching over to Aldi to try the gin: "The Asda Raspberry and Rose is lovely....I'll definitely be trying this one." Another mum tagged her friends and partner while commenting, "The girls would like to buy me one of these for mother's Day I think."
The Illusionist gins are just one range of gins on offer for Mother's Day as Aldi also posted a few bottles from the Haysmith collection including their popular Mango and Passionfruit flavour. Their Cherry Blossom gin liqueur is sure to be another best seller.
Aldi wrote: "Nothing says "Thank you Mum" like a big glass of gin – especially if it’s a little bit floral too. Pair it with some cheese and crackers and you’ve got the perfect evening lined up."
One shopper commented that the gins are perfect for the good weather the UK has been experiencing.
They posted: "I feel like we need to try this for Summer."
