Shoppers can save up to £125 as Aldi bring back ‘dupes’ of Benefit, Sand & Sky and Liz Earle

Much to the delight of savvy beauty lovers, Aldi have brought back some of their best-loved cosmetics and skincare products on this Sunday’s Specialbuys. And what’s incredible is that some customers have even compared them to big name brands like Liz Earle, Pixi and Benefit.

Shoppers who try out the budget beauty alternatives from Aldi could save themselves a whopping £125.55, when compared to the expensive products that they’re said to be similar to.

Among the affordable beauty dupes are face masks, toners, cleansers, face creams and mascaras, with prices starting from £1.99, and not a single one breaking a tenner.

Aldi has long been a goldmine for those looking to get the look for less, whether it’s a Green Egg BBQ dupe, or homeware accessories to rival Dunelm and Wayfair.

But those looking to revamp their cosmetics cupboard without breaking the bank need not look any further than the middle aisle of the German supermarket.

Each Sunday, the retailer adds new Specialbuys to its website, with customers able to shop from the comfort of their sofa - and these are some of the best beauty bargains to launch this week.

First up is the Lacura Pink Clay Mask, which has been compared to the £34 Sand and Sky version. At £5.99 for the Aldi facemask, you really can’t go wrong, the new formula said to ‘leave your skin looking both clearer and brighter’.

Lacura Pink Clay Mask (Aldi UK)

Shopper MJ26 noticed the similarities, and left a five star review on the Aldi website, which read: “I was looking for a dupe of Sand & Sky's pink clay mask because it's expensive, and this did not disappoint! It's a little thinner in consistency, which I prefer as it's easier to spread and the S&S one often dried out in the tub. Tightens the same, feels the same, wipes off just as easily, and skin feels lovely after. Definitely recommend, and it's a fraction of the cost of S&S brand!”

Meanwhile the £2.99 Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Toner is a dead ringer for the Pixi Rose Tonic, which retails at £18. In fact, Sue60 said it was ‘better than Pixi’, adding: “I have used all of these toners and love them all. My skin shines with radiance after I use this, after cleansing and just to freshen up in the morning.”

Now I am a BIG fan of Liz Earle’s beauty products, but at £30, the Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser doesn’t come cheap. Aldi’s own version - the Lacura Original Hot Cloth Cleanser - is currently only £1.99, down from £2.99, saving shoppers more than £18.

Manchester Evening News previously compared both products side by side, and while Liz Earle did pip Aldi on luxury, the budget version is certainly nothing to turn your nose up at. There's a good reason it’s earned over 800 five star reviews on the Aldi website.

If you don’t want to pay £40 for the Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme, then Lacura Vitamin C Face Cream is a snip of the price at £4.99 - and I can vouch that this smells incredible.

Last but not least, those looking for longer lashes can give the Lacura Girl Gone Bad mascara a go, said to give Benefit a run for it’s £25.50. Aldi’s mascara costs £5.99, and has been called ‘A-MA-ZING’ in reviews.

Another added: “I usually buy the Benefit make but at £25 I had to look for a less expensive one. Purchased this in store and omg! What a fab mascara.. looks longer and much thicker eyelashes.. only little criticism is it’s like a waterproof one so you do need to use a good remover.”
