Shoppers can get milk, bread and butter for as little as 1p at Iceland to help tackle rising cost of living

The rising cost of living has meant shoppers are watching what they buy, with some even asking cashiers to stop scanning when they hit a certain amount. Some supermarkets have frozen product prices to reassure customers, while others have seen significant price hikes.

Now, to help shoppers navigate the economic crisis, Iceland has reduced prices on a selection of its everyday essential items The deal will see those who shop online be able to pick up essentials like milk, bread and butter for as low as 1p to help tackle the significant increases in the price of some budget food items, Manchester Evening News reports.

And with the current heatwave and warmer weather still to come, other items included in the offer are summer foods such as burger buns, ice cream cones and fizzy drinks, as well as a selection of fresh, frozen and grocery items. The offer is available online only at Iceland.co.uk from Saturday, June 18 until Friday, June 24, 2022 with plenty of family favourites available to stock up on.

Some examples of what’s been reduced include Iceland Semi-Skimmed Milk which is usually 99p for two pints, Iceland Sliced Thick Soft White Bread, usually 95p, and Just Like Butter Spread, which comes in at £1.00. Iceland customers can also stock up on a whole host of food items and everyday essentials that are perfect for summer BBQs, such as Warburtons Sliced Soft White Rolls, Iceland Chocolate and Nut Cones and R. White’s Lemonade, all of which are usually £1.

Once the selected three items are in your basket, use the code ‘ ICEPENNY ’ at the checkout to get your three products for 3p. This isn’t the first time Iceland has launched an offer like this. The supermarket dropped the prices of its vegetables to 1p last Christmas and Easter, which proved incredibly popular with shoppers, seeing the discount redeemed by nearly 10,000 shoppers over Easter.
