If you’re the kind of person that finds themselves constantly losing their keys, putting their bag down or misplacing their wallet, Apple’s AirTags are the answers to your prayers. But with a RRP of £35 - sometimes it’s just easier and cheaper to buy a new wallet…

However, shoppers can get one for free this Black Friday weekend thanks to a multi-buy deal from Amazon.

Designed to be small enough to attach to a keyring, or pop into your handbag or wallet, the AirTag helps you keep track of whatever it is you attach it to, so you don’t need to spend hours hunting for your keys.

They’ve proven to be very popular since their launch in April 2021, and work seamlessly with other Apple products like iPhones and iPads. The small round disk can be placed almost anywhere, from pockets to even dog collars to help you keep track of it. You can also buy a holder that lets you attach it to your keys, if you’re prone to forgetting where you’ve put them.

To buy four AirTags individually would usually cost £140, but a pack of four comes in at £119 - with the Black Friday offer, they’re down a further £20, which is less than the cost of three purchased separately.

Apple Airtag (Amazon)

The tags do require an Apple device with iOs 14.5 or later installed on it to enable you to pair and track your tags.It uses the ‘Find My’ app to help you track down lost belongings. Each tag can be given a name like ‘keys’ or ‘headphones’ - the AirTag then sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that helps your phone find the missing AirTag by playing a sound from it’s in-built speaker. It’s very much a case of follow the noise.

If you have an iPhone 11 or more recent version, it’ll even tell you how close you are and which direction it is using its Precision Finding. If it’s not in the house, your Find My app will pinpoint on a map the last place you had it, using the Find My network.

On Amazon, the AirTags have racked up around 40,000 five star reviews, with one shopper writing: “After spending hours to find my keys that were lost somewhere in the house I bought an Apple AirTag. Now I can find them easily if I misplace them again.”

Another said: “Have I lost my purse since? Not once!” While a third added: “Lost my keys on a daily basis in the house this is my cure.”

A fourth shopper jokingly commented: “I’ve not lost my dog in the garden in a month.”

It can be set up in one tap too, so as soon as you get yours it can be ready to use, and Apple says it comes with excellent battery life, lasting up to a year before the battery needs replacing.

AirTags are splash, dust and waterproof up one metre, so if you lose your keys on a rainy day or your dog darts off in search of a muddy puddle, your AirTag should stay safe and sound while you locate your missing property.

You can pick up an Apple AirTag on Amazon for £29.00 for one , or £99.00 for a pack of four.
