A shopper hit a former neighbour in the face with a 10lb stick of ground meat after confronting her in the chip aisle.
Maneka Garner, 27, from Ohio, US, has been handed a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct after a dispute in Walmart in May 2021.
She was in the store in South Euclid when Garner spotted her ex-neighbour Precious Jackson, 37, and her 7-year-old daughter and decided to confront the mum in the chip aisle.
As she approached Ms Jackson she pulled down her Covid mask and attempted to spit on her and threatened to hit the child's mum in front of her.
The suspect then took out a 10lb stick of ground beef out of the victim's shopping trolley and started to hit her in the face with it "a couple of times".
Garner pleaded no contest on Tuesday to disorderly conduct as she was sentenced to a 30-day suspended jail term and a year of probation along with a $155 (£130) fine.
She was originally charged with assault and violating a restraining order, authorities revealed.
Ms Jackson has previously had to get a restraining order against her former neighbour who lived downstairs from her in their block of flats.
However, Garner told police she believed the restraining order had expired and she was able to speak to her, according to police documents.
It was not the first supermarket fight in Walmart after a fight broke out in October, which saw 25 customers setting off fire extinguishers and attacking people.
Initially the fight, in Ferguson, started after a small incident but was dealt with by staff who were able to clam the situation without calling the police.
But another incident kicked-off when footage on social media showed customers in the supermarket punching, hitting and kicking each other during the mass brawl.
The footage, which went viral, shows fights breaking out and a number of customers throwing objects at each other from their supermarket trolleys.
During the violent brawl customers and staff can be heard swearing and shouting throughout the video as police are urgently called to help break-up the fights.
The video stops when the two groups of customers leave the store as the fight seems to clam down.
