Shop that went viral for selling £100 Logan Paul and KSI drinks raided by police

Police have said there is an ongoing Trading Standards investigation into Wakey Wines following a raid there at the end of last week. And the shop's owner Mohammad Azir Nazir has announced on TikTok that his shop had been raided by officers with a warrant allegedy "looking for drugs".

The shop became a nationwide social media sensation thanks to Mr Nazir's TikTok videos in which a customer was shown talking about buying the Prime hydration drinks, which caused a buying craze recently. While West Yorkshire Police did not confirm the nature of their operation in Marygate, Wakefield, they did say that Trading Standards officers were conducting inquiries.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Wakefield Police and West Yorkshire Trading Standards attended at a premises on Marygate, Wakefield, on Friday, March 3 to execute a warrant. Enquiries remain ongoing by West Yorkshire Trading Standards."

Mr Nazir took to Tik Tok following the raid making claims about a search for drugs at the property. He told his followers that "nothing illegal had been found". In his post, he attacked his "haters" and said he had "nothing to hide" — but thanked the police for doing their job. He said: "I'm still here, you won't get rid of me, mate."

Mr Nazir previously spent time behind bars for drug dealing and referenced it in the video, saying he had left that life behind. He ended his video with his catchphrase: "What's the best shop in Wakey? Wakey Wines!"

Wakey Wines rose to fame after a series of TikTok videos showing the owner and customers at his store, talking about how much they paid for bottles of Prime energy drink. He was previously banned from TikTok after a video of a woman paying £1,200 for Prime went viral across the internet.
