Shop opening hours for today’s bank holiday as Dunnes, Aldi, SuperValu, Tesco, Lidl make changes

Both Thursday and Friday are bank holidays this year due to the traditional St Patrick’s Day one, plus a new one introduced as a one-off this year in tribute to health workers and to remember those who have died with Covid-19.

From next year, the new bank holiday is expected to fall around St Brigid's Day with a permanent date due to be confirmed soon.
