A business owner is distraught after having to rebuild the front of her shop four times - as out-of-control cars keep rolling downhill from a nearby Co-Op car park and smashing her shop. Interior designer Anita De-Vine has had her shop front smashed four times after cars parked in the nearby car park had their handbrakes fail.
The most recent was earlier this month - which saw Anita's shop window smashed in as a result. Anita, who has run Baildon Interiors in Baildon, West Yorkshire, for the past 22 years, said not only is it frustrating, but "only a matter of time before someone is hurt".
She has contacted Co-op to encourage them to remove the three spaces, which sit directly at the top of the slope, in line with her shop front. The company has added a sign encouraging people using the car park to ensure they apply their handbrake firmly, but Anita believes more needs to be done.

Anita said: "It is ridiculous to have parking at the top of the ramp which leads onto a busy road.
"I have raised the issue with the Co-op to get things amended in the car park so we can try to minimise the risk of cars coming down the ramp potentially injuring a pedestrian or motorist.
"I appreciate that the responsibility lies with the driver to apply their handbrake, but it keeps happening.
"There is quite an incline from the car park into the main road.
"The Co-op seem blissfully unaware of the reoccurring handbrake fails that happen on many occasions."
Describing the most recent incident, Anita said: "It smashed all the glass front, furniture and ornaments that were there.
"It is the fourth time it has happened in the last 22 years. The Co-op needs to take responsibility and block the three spaces at the top of the ramp, so cars can't park there and these incidents will cease.
"It really is a serious accident waiting to happen. I hope they take notice before a pedestrian is hit by one of these cars."
A Bradford Council spokesperson revealed to a local newspaper that they will contact the Baildon Co-op to discuss the situation.
The Co-op has also been contacted for a comment.
