Update on man shot in the stomach outside Hungry Horse pub
A man who was shot in the stomach in a pub car park on New Year's Day has now been released from hospital.
The 33-year-old was shot as he reportedly got into a car outside The Netherton pub, on Church Road, Litherland at around 7.10pm on January 1.
The man was rushed to hospital for treatment with injuries described as 'serious.'

The pub, which belongs to the Hungry Horse chain, closed temporarily after the shooting. It later re-opened.

Mum wanted to 'throw up' after biting into 'hard' bit in McDonald's wrap
A 'traumatised' mum said wanted to 'throw up' after reportedly discovering a 'huge spider' that had been lurking in her McDonald's wrap.
Katie Moss, from Winsford, Cheshire, ordered a chicken and bacon wrap, chips and 99p burger from McDonald's for her lunch on Just Eat on Wednesday, January 19.
Katie said: "I ordered it for lunch because we didn't have much in and I just fancied a McDonald's.
"I was three-quarters of the way through it and I felt something hard in my mouth."

BBC The Responder filming locations including Lark Lane and Everton
BBC's new Liverpool-based drama The Responder is set to start tonight.
The six part series has been written by ex-Merseyside police officer Tony Schumacher and stars Martin Freeman.
The Office and Hobbit actor plays Chris in the show, who is a crisis-stricken, morally compromised, unconventional urgent response officer tackling a series of night shifts on the beat in Liverpool.
