Shohei Ohtani gave Paul Skenes his MLB welcome with this beautiful homer off a 100 mph fastball

After electric Pittsburgh Pirates rookie pitcher Paul Skenes got the best of Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani in their first duel, Ohtani very quickly returned the favor.

On the next at-bat, Ohtani smacked a 100 mph Skenes fastball out of the field of play for a beautiful homer at PNC Park.

The rookie ace amazed on the first at-bat, but Ohtani very quickly reminded Skenes why he’s the best player in baseball.

It’s safe to say that we’re eagerly awaiting many, many more battles between these two fantastic MLB stars, particularly as the Pirates ascend as an overall team behind Skenes’ phenomenal arm into a possible contender.
