Dublin firefighters were called to a fire that was caused by a small rodent.
After receiving reports of a fuse board on fire in a house in the capital, firefighters managed to extinguish the flames, but as they took the fuse board apart, they found something they weren’t expecting. There, stuck in between all the wiring, were the remains of a furry, but clearly dead, mouse.
The not-so-mighty mouse managed to somehow squeeze itself into the most dangerous of hiding places, biting into a live wire, which may have started the fire but which ultimately caused its own demise.

Thankfully for the human residents, not much damage had been done, although they may now need to find another fuse board. And it might be no harm calling pest control.
