Shivakumar’s challenge to Rama Rao on Bengaluru’s infra

KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar on Monday challenged Telangana’s IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao that Bengaluru will overtake Hyderabad as “India’s best city.”

Mr. Shivakumar was responding to Mr. Rao’s tweet in which the Telangana Minister invited startups to relocate to Hyderabad in the light of Bengaluru’s infrastructure woes. Mr. Rao in his tweet asked entrepreneur Ravish Naresh to “pack your bags & move to Hyderabad”, after the latter complained about bad roads, power cuts, poor quality of water, and bad footpaths in Bengaluru.

“…my friend, I accept your challenge. By the end of 2023, with Congress back in power in Karnataka, we will restore the glory of Bengaluru as India’s best city,” said Mr. Shivakumar in a tweet.
