Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has paid tribute to Welsh legend Dame Shirley Bassey in a post commemorating her star-studded 50th birthday event. In the first in a series of photos, 'Ginger Spice' could be seen holding the 85-year-old icon's hands and smiling.
Geri captioned the post: "What a night! Nov 5th," and then added, "@dameshirleybassey - Our hearts are full. So full of love. You made my dream come true. I have loved you since I was a little girl. Thank you." The singer turned 50 in August and had planned her party for September but postponed it due to death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Aside from Dame Shirley, there was a whole host of other famous faces in attendance. The likes of David & Victoria Beckham, Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Hugh Grant and Rylan Clark could all be seen enjoying themselves.
One person who was noticeably missing was Melanie Brown (Mel B). However, Victoria Beckham addressed this on TikTok, writing: "When the #spicegirls reunite for one night only (minus Scary Spice! We miss you Mel B!!) Love you girls xx."
Fans were loving the Spice Girls' (minus Mel B) reunion, reacting in their thousands at a post shared by David Beckham. The footballer wrote: "Special celebrating Ginger this weekend and even more special to capture this moment of the girls. A friendship for Life. @spicegirls @therealgerihalliwell @victoriabeckham @emmaleebunton @melaniecmusic @officialmelb you were missed."
One person commented below: "Imagine being at a party singing along to this next to the actual Spice Girls." And a second seemed equally enthusiastic, writing: "Think a reunion at Glastonbury is a must."
A third added: "The only reunion that matters." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
