Shirley Ballas has responded to rumours she won't be returning to Strictly Come Dancing.
The 62-year-old, who hails from Wallasey, is best known as head judge on the competitive dancing show. Prior to this, Shirley rose to fame as an incredibly talented dancer, having won several championship titles which earned her the nickname The Queen of Latin
Shirley will appear on this Saturday's instalment of The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV, alongside John Legend, Jeff Goldblum, Lee Mack and Jack Whitehall.

On the programme, which has already been filmed, she and Jonathan discussed her new book, Murder on the Dance Floor. Shirley said it was "loosely based on every story I've witnessed in my industry, but with fictitious characters".
She was then asked about rumours she isn't coming back to the ballroom show. Shirley said it is yet to be confirmed, adding: “Well… I do believe it’s in the process. Is that the right way to say it? Yes... their people are talking to my people.”
It comes after the Mirror last month reported Shirley "may never return" to the show after trolls "made her life hell". Shirley said the abuse left her in tears.
Asked if she has considered quitting the show, she replies carefully: “It was a difficult series, I’ll leave it at that. Will I go back to Strictly? I always take one step at a time."
The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 9.50pm on ITV an ITVX
