Shirley Ballas addresses Strictly tour romance rumours as she's quizzed on ITV Lorraine

Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas has been quizzed on whether partnerships are forming away from the ballroom as the show goes on tour.

The BBC One dance contest's judge was on Lorraine on Tuesday ahead of the next date on the Strictly Live Tour.

Shirley has hit the road with fellow judges Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli as the stars of the show take to the floor in arenas across the country.

Chatting to host Lorraine Kelly, Shirley was asked about the antics going on behind the scenes.

It comes amid rumours some of the show's professional dancers and celebrity stars are growing closer off the dance floor.

"Now look, in the papers Shirley. I'm just wondering if you're being sort of Auntie Shirley with all of this....the romances...what's going on?" Lorraine, 61, asked Shirley who appeared on the programme live via video link.

"Everybody's having a very nice time," the presenter added.

"Romancing and dancing," Shirley said.

Not being drawn in on the rumours, she went on: "I don't really know what's going on to be honest. It's not my place to say whose what where and when so...

"There's always rumours, you know that Lorraine."

Lorraine then replied: "You know what if it adds more sparkle to the dancing and passion, then we're all for it."

Shirley also offered fans an update on her health after fans spotted a lump under her arm during Strictly last year.

She said: "About nine different people thought they'd spotted this lump on my arm and then I went to the doctors to get checked and then they found other things.

"My hormone levels were all off and they were checking for various things.

"There was a little thing on my leg that we had to take off."

She added: "I can only be grateful to the fans. Sometimes social media can be such a harrowing place and sometimes it can be magnificent.

"I have to say that the fans that are on my social media are really kind.

"They watch out for you and for that I thank them all - truly grateful."
