A total of five units of the limited-edition Ducati XDiavel Nera have been allocated for the Thai market, according to Ducati Thailand.
The XDiavel Nera is a collaboration between Ducati and luxury furniture maker Poltrona Frau with only 500 units to be produced. The new model is characterised by "Black in Black" livery, including a special seat made of Pelle Frau, a soft natural leather saddled by hand. It is basically a prestige edition of the Diavel that leans towards a cruiser motorcycle and comes with a large number of customisation options.
According to Ducati Thailand, the saddle is available in Siam Red or Steel Blue, and is customised with a series of the letter X, engraved by a sophisticated laser process. Buyers will receive an exclusive key ring and document holder made of Pelle Frau leather in the matching colour to the one chosen for the saddle, which is 755mm from the ground.
The Testastretta DVT 1262 power plant delivers a maximum output of 152hp@9,500rpm and a maximum torque of 126Nm@5,000rpm. Ducati says that the engine's variable valve timing with desmodromic distribution system offers prompt and smooth response at low revs, generous torque throughout the curve and sporty performance when the throttle is fully opened.
The XDiavel Nera comes with 320mm dual disc brakes with red monoblock Brembo M50 calipers up front, while the rear boasts a 265mm disc with two-piston Brembo caliper. The brakes are adjustable and come with cornering ABS. The bike also comes with traction control, Bosch IMU sensors and cruise control.
Grisnagorn Sawettanant, executive chairman of Ducati distributor Motore Italiano, said Ducati had introduced six new models in Thailand this year with high success.
"For September, we are presenting the premium limited-edition Ducati XDiavel Nera that is priced at 1.399 million baht," he said. "We believe that it will create a strong sensation among local bikers and all five units will sell out quickly."
Grisnagorn said the XDiavel Nera is being displayed at the Ducati Roadshow at Fashion Island until Sept 18, along with other Ducati models and attractive sales promotions.
