It's emerged Sheridan Smith reportedly stepped down from presenting a BRIT Award last week.
Claims surfaced after Sheridan confided in her fans that she had terrible news and urged her followers to be kind on Instagram on Monday.
The West End star apparently skipped presenting the Best British Group award to Little Mix and made a mysteriously early exit from the glittering awards ceremony last week.
Instead, Olly Murs and Adam Lambert presented the award on their own without the actress on stage.
"Sheridan was due to present the Best British Group award at the BRITs with Olly and Adam," a source told MailOnline.
"It was her first night out since the easing of lockdown and becoming a mum, so she was always going to have a good time.
"It meant Olly and Adam presented the award on their own."
The Mirror have approached Sheridan Smith's representatives for further comment.
On the night, the actress looked sensational in a little black number when she walked the red carpet with the stars.
It was her return to the red carpet after becoming a mum for the first time to her son Billy.
Together with her fiancé Jamie Horn, she raises their little boy at their home.
It comes as Sheridan sparked concern among her followers when she shared a cryptic post about shocking news.
She wrote: "Just had the most shocking news, don’t let people get you down.
"We are here for a short time people, please be kind x."
Yet the actress didn't reveal any further details about what had been going on behind closed doors in her life.
