Shein shoppers in stitches over linked swimsuit that has some saying 'ouch'

Going on holiday is such a pleasure, especially after not being able to go away for so long.

But sometimes, deciding what to buy and wear for your upcoming holiday can be stressful. You need to pick what vibe you're going for, whether you'll go for a bikini or swimsuit, and you've got to work out exactly how many pairs of shoes are too many for a week away - it's a tough balancing act!

When browsing for swimwear, your criteria is probably simple - something that fits well, looks good and makes you feel fantastic.

But if you're feeling like something bold to wear by the pool, then Shein might have you covered with their new one-piece that has caused a stir on social media.

The ' Backless Ring Linked One Piece Swimsuit' from Shein has proven popular with shoppers at the fast fashion retailer, as it's actually sold out in the black shade.

The swimsuit boasts a low-cut top with extreme high-cut legs - it's certainly not a look for the faint-hearted.

To make the ensemble even more risque, it comes completely backless with a tiny string covering your dignity.

Luckily, though, if this is your thing and you missed out on the swimming costume in black, the retailer offers it in green too - and it's currently on sale for just £5.99.

Some weren't so keen on the swimsuit, however, with one writing: "Why bother wearing anything at all?"

Another tagged her friendship group, sarcastically suggesting: "Shall we get matching cossies for the beach?" with one of her friends quipping: "One for each side", followed by many crying with laughter emojis.

"Ouch! Worst 'front wedgie' ever!", wrote another.

It's clearly proven to be a popular piece though, as sizes 8 to 16 have sold out.

Some liked the look, with one tagging their friend saying: "Can you please get one for me, I don't mind which colour!"
