Shopping for clothes online can often be a gamble for many of us. Will your outfit be the right size? Will you actually get what you ordered? There are just so many risks involved.
And no-one knows this more than Shein shoppers, as the online fast-fashion giant has become notorious for a few fashion blunders that often don't look like their advertisements.
Which is exactly what happened once again, after one shopper took to social media to blast the fashion retailer over an £18.99 nightgown they ordered. The user - known as Daniela (@danielariut_) - ordered what she believed was the Contrast Guipure Lace Flounce Sleeve Night Dress as she just "wanted to be a princess."
With its lace neckline, scalloped sleeves and pearl accessories, the flouncy nightgown was giving off serious Taylor Swift 'Folklore' vibes.
Unfortunately, Daniela was left feeling less like a princess after her package arrived and found out that the flouncy nightgown was nothing more than an oversized top. Not even a shirt, but a simple scoop necked top.
Alongside the clip she wrote: "Shein...you did me so dirty" as she was crying laughing at the mishap.
In the quick 15 second clip, Daniela shared a screenshot of the vintage nightgown that she ordered, before sharing a clip of her wearing what looked like an off yellow long top.
The post has since managed to rack up a whopping 1.5 million views from other shoppers who found the fashion blunder to be a little humorous, with some even saying Shein just "gave up."
"THERES NO WAYY", exclaimed one shopper.
"GIRL THEY GAVE UP", joked a second.
"PLS ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE", said a third.
"SHEIN count your days", quipped a fourth.
However, not everyone was convinced with the clip, as some even defended the fashion chain and said that the blunder could have simply been a mistake.
"They sent you the wrong item by mistake, it often happens. their products are always the same as in the picture, just lower quality than you'd expect", one shopper explained.
"I've ordered from shein multiple times and I got the same as the pictures so I think they sent you the wrong item", agreed a second.
While a second said they had ordered "the exact same night dress" and it arrived exactly as shown in the advertisement on Shein's website.
And it looks like the nightgown is a fairly popular item with Shein, as it has almost completely sold out online, with a size 8 being the only available size left.
The recent Shein fashion blunder comes just after we reported that one shopper lost it over a £14 jumpsuit that left her "looking like an Oompa Loompa."
