A Shein shopper got more than they bargained for after browsing the fashion retailer's perfume selection. On a first glance it's easy to miss, but when the shopper zoomed in the eye-opening blunder was clear to all.
Taking to TikTok, the social media user uploaded a screen recording of themselves zooming in on the gold bottle, which was being sold for $4.95 (£2.27) on the Australian website.
The content creator wrote on the video: "WHAT IS THIS SHEIN?," followed by a crying emoji. They zoomed in on the gold top of the perfume bottle – where what looks like a woman in her underwear can be seen in the reflection. A camera and flash is blocking the person's face.
Others were quick to spot the blunder, with one person saying: "I just went on Shein and it's actually true."
Another said: "Working from home," followed by a crying-while-laughing emoji.
"People really do go the extra mile," joked another with the same emoji.
Someone else said: "I was so confused at first, and then I looked where you were zooming in before you circled it and I screamed."
"Help, I searched it up yesterday and it was there," remarked another.
However, several people commented that the fast fashion website seems to have taken the product down since the video went viral.
One person suggested: "Yeah the pictures are usually taken by customer or testing employees and then photo shopped to look more professional."
The same company recently hit headlines after a customer received an ominous note inside her Shein package.
In the video, which was posted on TikTok, a woman unfurls several pieces of paper, all of which read: "You are going to die in this suit."
On a lighter note, a woman claimed she had ordered a brown jumpsuit, but when it arrived it turned out to be what looked like a monkey costume, complete with a monkey-shaped mask.
Happy to be a good sport, the woman, whose name is Justine, tried on the outfit and it looked great on her.
In another strange incident, a woman claims she received an item from the retailed which was covered in a flaky substance.
The Mirror has contacted Shein for comment.
