Sheffield United ticket decision slammed ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest are set for a tense first leg of their Championship play-off showdown as the two clubs seek promotion to the Premier League.

Steve Cooper's side travel to Bramall Lane at the weekend when they will look to bring a lead back to the City Ground for the return leg which takes place next week. Forest are set to be backed by more than 3,000 supporters for the clash against Paul Heckingbottom's side having snapped up their entire allocation.

According to the Sheffield Star, United supporters have yet to sell out the home seats with around 3,000 tickets still remaining as of Wednesday morning.

And the decision to give Forest fans 3,200 tickets for the game has not gone down well with United fans particularly as Forest have given the Blades 2,000 for the return leg. Here's what United fans had to say.

Gary: "Right so we give them over 3k and we have got 2k. Anyone at the club going to come out and tell us why we are giving up the chance for another 1000 blades fans to attend the home game because that’s absolutely stupid it really is."

Jason Kinder: "I genuinely don't understand this. Can't help but think we've made a major cock up with giving them so many more tickets."

Mick Seaman: "Still don’t understand why they’ve got Westfield upper? Going on the pitch doesn’t wash with me. There’s been a full season with the opportunity to do that."

PlusOne: "Ticket allocation abysmal by the Blades. Season ticket holders deserved first go. Why give forest top tier?"

Paul M: "As a club our ticketing policy is a joke sometimes!! Why give them more what advantage is it to us!"

Carl Herrick: "Booted our own loyal season ticket holders out of their seats to give forest more tickets. If it's really about fans on the pitch and your hands are tied why not give them 2000 in the upper tier?"
