Sheffield United boss sparks touchline fracas at Nottingham Forest after Djed Spence incident

Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom took his frustrations out on Nottingham Forest wing-back Djed Spence during Tuesday evening's Championship play-off semi-final second leg.

As the ball went out for a throw-in, Heckingbottom picked up the ball and threw it with force into the midriff of Spence, which caused tempers to flare between players and staff on the touchline.

Brennan Johnson raced to Spence's aid and pushed Heckingbottom, with Jack Robinson getting involved and both benches rushing to the touchline amid the fracas.

Referee Michael Oliver handled the situation well, delivering a yellow card to Heckingbottom as tempers flared at the City Ground with Forest 1-0 to the good on the evening.

Forest supporters responded to the incident with a taunt of "You're just a **** Neil Warnock" aimed at the visiting manager.
