Sheffield United boss delivers Championship play-off verdict ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Sheffield United will enjoy their end-of-season party this evening but are aware they "have got more to do" ahead of their Championship play-off semi-final clash with Nottingham Forest.

United set up a mouth-watering semi-final against Steve Cooper 's side following a 4-0 demolition of Championship title winners Fulham at Bramall Lane. A quick-fire 15 minutes saw Morgan Gibbs-White, Iliman Ndiaye and Sander Berge all find the net for the Blades, before Enda Stevens added to the hosts' tally after the break.

Forest had the opportunity to claim third place had they have held onto their stoppage time lead at Hull City, but a late Keane Lewis-Potter goal means the Reds finished fourth and head to Bramall Lane on Saturday for the first leg.

It has been difficult to split the two teams this season - with two close encounters this season ending 1-1 with late goals - and Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom is expecting similar over the two play-off fixtures.

"They will be two good games," he told YorkshireLive. "We know each other well, we know their players well, they know us, so it's going to be two good games.

"It will be a huge game here, a full house here and it will be some atmosphere and then it will be roles reversed at the City Ground. We will celebrate getting in the play-offs and we'll enjoy it because of everything that comes with it, it is unique, but we haven't won anything or achieved anything. We have got more to do.

"It's the player of the year do tonight and I want everyone to enjoy that, relax, celebrate what we have done and understand why and then it's the usual recovery tomorrow and we start again on Monday morning."
