Shedeur Sanders speaks on potentially playing for the Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns need a quarterback, and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is considered one of the top two in the 2025 NFL draft.

Both parties are in Frisco, Texas, this week and have met during the team meeting portion of the event. It was also reported that the Tennessee Titans, Browns, and New York Giants (the three top-picking teams in the draft) told him not to practice at the East-West Shrine Bowl this week.

While at the event as well, Sanders was speaking to another Colorado wide receiver at the Shrine Bowl, Will Sheppard, and they had a telling interaction. Sheppard told Sanders, “They’re saying you’re going to be a Cleveland Brown.” And while it has been rumored that his father, Deion Sanders, would heavily influence his landing spot, Sanders said something different:

“I don’t know where I’m going, I’m just thankful for whoever pick me.”

You can see the video here and judge Sanders’ facial expressions for yourself, but from his words, he is not determined to nail down his landing spot at the top of the draft.
