Shedeur Sanders shares the trait that Browns OC Tommy Rees looks for most

The Cleveland Browns need a quarterback, and they have been linked to Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders as they hold the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

And for good reason.

Sanders is deemed a better scheme fit who is not afraid to stand in the pocket against pressure. Present at the East-West Shrine Bowl, Sanders spoke to the media and was asked what he does best. Sanders answered his decision-making.

This is prevelant to the Browns, who introduced Tommy Rees as their offensive coordinator. During his introductory press conference with the Browns, Rees was asked what trait he looked for most in a quarterback.

Rees’ answer? Decision-making.

Throughout his time at Colorado, Sanders had the highest completion percentage in the nation, and threw just 13 interceptions in his two seasons at the FBS level. He has shown the eyes to find backside overs and digs and throw into the face of pressure.

It was reported that all of the Browns, Tennessee Titans, and New York Giants urged Sanders not to practice at the Shrine Bowl, locking him into the top three. Will it be the Browns who selects him in April?
