A couple who are often mistaken as father and daughter say they are unbothered by their 27-year age gap.
Brandi Ryan, 27, and Jayson Salter, 54, have been in a relationship for a year and a half after first meeting in 2018.
Brandi has even become a step-mum to her beau's children, including his daughter who is just six months younger than her.
But despite initial hesitation from Brandi's family, the pair - who first met while working together at one of Jayson's restaurants - say their age difference isn't an issue.
Jayson said: "Our paths crossed in the walk in refrigerator, and there was this undeniable electricity.
"We were both in relationships at the time so we tried to avoid for a while."
They are even preparing to launch their own podcast called 'No, she's not my daughter'.
"We just wanted to make something that talks about the lighter side of being in an age gap relationship," said Brandi. "Other podcasts about it are really boring, and they focus on finances and things like that.
"But we have a lot of funny moments that come from being different ages, so we want to talk about that.
"There's a lot of things that I'm experiencing for the first time, so he has to remember to sort of slow down for me, because he's been married twice before."
While their friends have been welcoming of their relationship, Brandi's parents took a while to warm up to the idea.
"My friends weren't surprised, honestly, because I've always preferred older men," said Brandi. "I'm pretty mature for my age, and Jayson's friends all say he's immature so it balances out!
"My parents are starting to realise that this is a serious relationship and they're coming around, but they were hesitant at first."
Jayson's family took less time to adjust to his new partner, with Brandi accompanying him at both his son's and his daughter's wedding.
He said: "I think overall people don't notice the age gap much, obviously I'm not going grey so it's not really obvious."
Brandi added: "Or, if people do notice, they don't say anything to our faces!
"Jayson gets more high fives from other guys, but sometimes I notice I'm getting a little stink eye from other women."
The couple aren't the only ones opening up about their age gap. Earlier this week Mirror Online reported on Quran McCain, 24, who claims he lost his virginity to his wife Cheryl, 61, after they met in 2020.
"Personally, I don't think sex is something you should share with just anybody, no disrespect to people who do but that's not for me," said the loved-up toyboy.
He added grandmother-of-17 Cheryl is "freaky" and has taught him a lot about sex and being open to new things.
