Shayne Ward shows off his incredible body transformation after losing three and a half stone

Former Coronation Street star Shayne Ward says his confidence is 'through the roof' after losing three and a half stone in weight.

Shayne, who played Aidan Connor in Corrie, has dropped over 11kg and reduced his body fat from 29 to 16 per cent after 21 weeks of hard work in the gym.

The actor from Clayton says he's now feeling much better after the overhaul with UP Fitness.

“I’m happy to not be in that place I was 21 weeks ago. I was sluggish, I was stressed and I didn’t really want to do anything," he explained.

"When I started training, I wasn’t in the greatest place – I was trying to balance everything on my shoulders in my personal and professional life. I didn’t enjoy ‘me’."

He added: “It’s been 21 weeks and I’m so far removed from that now. I’m so grateful for what UP Fitness has offered me. It gives you a better focus – you can enjoy fitness.

"It doesn’t just mean getting bulging biceps or a bigger chest, it means you can be a lot healthier in body and mind. "My confidence is through the roof. People say ‘you look happier’, ‘your confidence is so much better’."

Earlier this year Shayne, who played Aidan Connor in the soap , and his fiancee Sophie Austin revealed they were both determined to improve their strength and return to a healthier lifestyle with UP in Alderley Edge.

The 35-year-old father of one, who has a two-year-old daughter Willow with Sophie, said he was previously 'eating for the sake of eating' and cut out out late night takeaways, fizzy drinks and sweet treats - and also swapped his morning bowl of breakfast cereal for eggs and vegetables.

He said: “I feel good, I feel fresh, I’m not quite 21 anymore, but I’m feeling really good.”
